Chapter 3
Summary: Fantine is loner :( she is a sad girl and she has a daughter (who is very important in the novel) Fantine sends her daughter to be taken care of to innkeepers. Her daughter’s name is Cosette. It seems like Cosette will have a good home, but it turns out that NOPE. The innkeepers (Thenardiers) are scumbags and make Cosette a slave </3 Myriel dies </3 Jean Valjean almost dies because everyone else is a scumbag :( so many sad news in this entire chapter.
this chapter was a sad chapter. i didnt understand the first part, but the second part was sad as hell :( it was upsetting at how javert could be so cold
Chapter 4
Summary: ok, fantine gets a job after all that commotion and cosette gets treated like shit. fantine is sent into jail. then good guy madeleine (jean) comes in and helps fantine from jail. he tries to get cosette back for fantine by paying the thenardiers
uhh i thought this chapter was uninteresting as nothing important happened… move along to day 3
